FIPS Certification Engineer
Job Summary
Supporting certification and compliance efforts, the remote FIPS Certification Engineer will assist with FIPS 140-3 compliance initiatives, testing, and documentation while gaining hands-on experience in cybersecurity and cryptography.
Key responsibilities
- Support FIPS 140-3 compliance and certification initiatives through testing and validation activities
- Collect and maintain certification documentation, technical evidence, and compliance deliverables
- Collaborate with engineering teams and accredited testing laboratories throughout certification efforts
Required qualifications
- 0-3 years of experience in cybersecurity, software engineering, networking, cryptography, or a related field
- Familiarity with FIPS 140-3, NIST SP 800 Series, or other security certification frameworks
- Understanding of secure software development principles and cybersecurity concepts
- Experience with Linux operating systems and command-line tools
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related technical discipline
