Job Summary
Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Fire Alarm System Programmer will engage in the remote programming of Simplex Fire Alarm Systems, collaborating with local offices and design teams to build and upload complete system programs while interpreting construction documents and applicable NFPA standards.
Key responsibilities
- Contact local offices to obtain necessary files for building Simplex Fire Alarm System Programs
- Interpret construction documents and apply NFPA standards to develop complete fire alarm system programs
- Collaborate with the Remote Programming Team and attend weekly meetings to manage project backlogs and urgent tasks
Required qualifications
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience as a Simplex Fire Alarm Technician/Programmer
- Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, and Simplex programming tools
- Preferred NICET Level II or III certification
- Ability to interpret and apply NFPA standards and read construction documents
