Job Summary
Working remotely, the full-time Fire Protection Designer - MI Licensed will design and develop fire protection systems for various facilities, ensuring compliance with fire codes and collaborating with project teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design fire sprinkler systems, including wet, dry, preaction, deluge, and special hazards systems
- Perform field surveys to gather necessary data for design work and prepare detailed drawings and calculations
- Ensure designs comply with applicable codes and standards while coordinating the permit process and addressing corrections
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in fire suppression systems design
- Minimum associate's degree in computer aided design/drafting, architecture, construction technology, engineering technology, or similar field
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, AutoSPRINK, and other design software
- Strong knowledge of NFPA codes and standards
- NICET Level III certification is preferred
