Fire Protection Engineer
Job Summary
Offering a hybrid work schedule, the full-time Fire Protection Engineer will review architectural designs, conduct construction inspections, and evaluate building conditions while supporting the National Institute of Health's initiatives.
Key responsibilities
- Review architectural and engineering designs along with fire protection system shop drawings for over 50 buildings
- Conduct construction inspections and issue final occupancy permits
- Provide technical guidance using various NFPA codes and witness acceptance tests for fire alarm and sprinkler system modifications
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Fire Protection Engineering or a related engineering field
- 2+ years of general experience in Fire Protection
- Must have a valid Driver's License
- Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance
