Fire Protection Project Engineer
Job Summary
Supporting fire protection and fire alarm initiatives, the full-time salaried Development Project Engineer will assist in design, procurement, construction, and testing activities for life safety systems while working remotely.
Key Responsibilities
- Review drawing packages for compliance with fire protection and life safety design standards
- Collaborate with design teams and stakeholders to define project scope and ensure adherence to local codes and insurance requirements
- Assist in resolving design issues during construction and support factory and site acceptance testing
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field
- Basic experience with fire protection, fire alarm, and life safety systems
- Familiarity with engineering drawings and construction documents
- Understanding of fire suppression and detection systems
- Desire to pursue industry certifications such as NICET or CFPS is preferred
