Job Summary
A company is seeking a Part-Time Faculty member for its College of Safety and Emergency Services, focusing on Fire Science, to work remotely and manage teaching responsibilities alongside engaging with students, primarily during evenings and weekends.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses within the discipline, including conducting weekly student outreach and facilitating discussion boards
- Record and post welcome videos, host live lectures, and provide timely, substantive feedback on student submissions
- Serve as a course content expert for curriculum maintenance and review, and resolve academic integrity concerns and grade challenges
Required Qualifications and Education
- Terminal or master's degree in the teaching discipline or a closely related discipline from an accredited program/college/university
- For undergraduate/certificate courses: 18 graduate semester credit hours in the discipline or closely related discipline, or a terminal degree with relevant certification/license and minimum two years' experience
- For graduate courses: Terminal degree with 18 graduate semester credit hours in the discipline or closely related discipline, or highest degree with relevant certification/license and minimum five years' experience
- Experience teaching at the college/university level is preferred
- Must provide own equipment including computer, telephone, printer with scanner, and have secure and reliable internet access
