Firewall Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Firewall Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 3 support for firewall incidents, changes, and problem resolution across enterprise environments
• Manage, configure, and troubleshoot firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Cisco ASA/FTD, Check Point)
• Develop and maintain automation scripts (Python, Ansible, etc.) to streamline repetitive tasks and improve operational efficiency

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in firewall operations and network security
• Expert-level knowledge of firewall platforms such as Palo Alto Networks, Cisco ASA/FTD, or Checkpoint
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing, NAT, VPNs, and security policies
• Proficiency in automation/scripting (Python, Ansible, Bash, or similar)
• Experience with centralized management systems (Panorama, Cisco FMC, and Checkpoint Domain Manager)
