Fisheries Biologist Technical Lead

Job Summary

Providing program and biological support for interagency consultations, the full-time Fisheries Biologist Technical Lead will manage tasks related to ESA, MSA, FWCA, MMPA, and NEPA assessments while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee operational tasks and projects assigned by Government personnel, ensuring adherence to protocols
• Review and analyze scientific data to assess environmental impacts on biological resources and aquatic habitats
• Prepare and revise environmental documentation, including ESA Biological Opinions and NEPA documentation

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with six years of experience or Master's degree with two years of experience in a related field
• Knowledge of salmonid life cycles and habitat requirements
• Experience with ESA and MSA regulations and document preparation
• Proficiency in common software applications, including MS Office and Google Workplace
• Experience working with diverse interagency teams and tribal governments
