Job Summary
A company is looking for a Fisheries Science Analyst to support sustainable fisheries management strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct ESA effects analyses for harvest and hatchery management frameworks
- Perform trend analysis, risk assessment, and population evaluations
- Prepare NEPA documents and evaluate alternative fishery management strategies
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and a minimum of three years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of laws pertaining to fishing industry management, including the Magnuson-Stevens Act and the National Environmental Policy Act
- Experience in preparing NEPA analytical documents such as Environmental Assessments and Environmental Impact Statements
- Experience conducting technical analyses for anadromous salmonids, particularly regarding hatchery and harvest management actions
- Experience performing ESA consultations and knowledge of fisheries management frameworks in the Pacific Northwest Region is preferred
