Flood Risk Modeler

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Flood Risk Modeler.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and enhance country and region-wide flood models
• Create programs and processes to refine existing data sets
• Assist in creating simulated and near-real-time high-resolution flood events

Required Qualifications:

• M.S. or PhD degree in a quantitative or applied scientific field, or a B.S. degree with 3+ years of equivalent practical experience
• Proficiency in programming languages such as R, FORTRAN, BASH scripting, Python, C++, or CUDA
• Experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and processing GIS files using scripting languages
• Strong data analysis and management skills
