Job Summary
Seeking a Florida and California Licensed Engineer, the full-time Director of Professional Engineering will oversee the design and implementation of commercial, industrial, and utility-scale solar photovoltaic projects, while collaborating with cross-functional teams and ensuring quality control processes are maintained.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and seal designs for solar PV and energy storage systems, including interconnection and construction documentation
- Collaborate with Business Development and Field Services teams to create optimal project solutions based on customer needs
- Implement and maintain quality control processes, and conduct site assessments and technical analyses
Required Qualifications
- Active PE License in Florida and California, with the ability to obtain licensure in all 50 states
- 5-10 years of experience in designing solar arrays and knowledge of the solar project design and construction process
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and solar design tools, with a strong understanding of NEC and building codes
- Experience supervising remote work and providing mentorship to junior engineering personnel
- NABCEP certification and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) design experience preferred
