Job Summary
To support the Workers Compensation Claims team, the full-time Lost Time Claims Specialist II will manage coverage analysis, investigation, evaluation, negotiation, and disposition of claims for Florida and Georgia, working remotely during business hours EST.
Key responsibilities
- Proactively manage the case resolution process and participate in mediations within settlement authority limits
- Investigate claims through various methods and communicate status updates to injured workers, clients, and brokers
- Evaluate and resolve coverage issues while managing litigation processes and vendor expenses effectively
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or a minimum of 3 years of Workers' Compensation claims handling experience
- At least 2 years of experience handling lost time claims in Workers' Compensation
- Active Florida and Georgia Workers' Compensation Adjuster licenses strongly preferred
- Intermediate knowledge of law and insurance regulations in various jurisdictions
- Experience with reserving and adjudication of Workers' Compensation lost time claims
