Florida Licensed Account Representative

Job Summary

To ensure proper reimbursement on patient accounts, the full-time Florida Licensed Account Representative will work remotely, managing insurance payer interactions, processing appeals, and analyzing account issues to expedite resolutions.

Key responsibilities

• Works with assigned insurance payers to facilitate timely reimbursement and resolve patient account issues
• Processes administrative and technical appeals, requests refunds, and handles claim reinstatements and rejections
• Maintains daily account follow-up and notifies the Assistant Supervisor of any issues affecting goal achievement

Required qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Three years of experience with HMO PPO/Commercial, Medicare or Medicaid/Government payers or in a business office setting
• Knowledge of confidentiality and discretion in handling personnel and patient-related issues
• Proficiency in basic math functions and typing skills of at least 27 words per minute net
• Effective verbal and written communication skills in English
