Job Summary
Providing comprehensive legal counsel on healthcare regulatory matters, the full-time Florida Licensed Assistant General Counsel will advise business units and leadership on federal and state regulatory requirements, compliance risk management, and regulatory strategy in a remote capacity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and interpret federal and state healthcare laws, regulations, and enforcement activities affecting the organization
- Advise business units on regulatory requirements and compliance obligations, developing implementation strategies across the enterprise
- Conduct regulatory risk assessments for new products and services, advising on implications and mitigation strategies
Required Qualifications:
- Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school with a strong academic record and 10+ years of professional legal experience
- Admission to at least one state bar; ability to be certified in Florida as Authorized House Counsel if admitted elsewhere
- Comprehensive knowledge of federal and state healthcare regulatory frameworks, including HIPAA and managed care regulations
- Demonstrated expertise in healthcare provider regulations and compliance programs
- Proven ability to analyze complex regulatory requirements and develop practical compliance solutions aligned with business objectives
