Job Summary
To support the claims department, the full-time Florida Licensed Casualty Specialist will conduct investigations, evaluate claims, and negotiate settlements while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Plans and conducts investigations to analyze coverage and determine liability and compensability
- Evaluates claims for potential fraud and manages the claims process, including negotiations and settlements
- Maintains accurate records and communicates with internal and external stakeholders regarding claim status
Required qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalency required; a 2-year degree or higher in a related field is preferred
- At least one year of automobile liability experience is required
- Minimum of 2 years of previous auto liability claim handling experience or 1 year of bodily injury claims experience preferred
- Must currently hold or be able to secure and maintain adjuster license(s) within 60 days of employment
- Knowledge of applicable insurance statutes, regulations, and case law
