Job Summary

A company is looking for a Certified Cancer Registrar.

Key Responsibilities

• Review diagnostic reports and determine case eligibility for the cancer registry
• Enter new cases into the cancer registry database and ensure timely abstraction of reportable cases
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while regularly transmitting data to relevant cancer data systems

Required Qualifications

• Active Certified Oncology Data Specialist (ODS) certification required
• Minimum of an Associate's degree with coursework in Anatomy and Physiology, pathophysiology, medical terminology, and pharmacology
• 1-3 years of experience in cancer registry operations, including abstracting duties
• Proficient knowledge of cancer registry software and state reporting requirements
• Experience with electronic health records is preferred
