Job Summary
A company is looking for a Workers Compensation Claims Examiner II.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of 150 or fewer workers' compensation files, including complex claims
- Determine compensability of claims and administer benefits according to state law and company guidelines
- Communicate with claimants, providers, and vendors regarding claims issues and maintain case documentation
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
- Three or more years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Technical knowledge of statutory regulations and medical terminology
- Ability to independently manage fairly complex claims
- Proficiency in Word and Excel preferred
