Job Summary

Handling claims for equine-related policies, the full-time Claims Technical Specialist will ensure compliance with claim handling guidelines, gather and analyze information for accurate evaluations, and maintain system data while providing exceptional customer service, all in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with established claim handling guidelines for coverage, investigation, evaluation, and resolution of claims
  • Gather and analyze information to make accurate evaluations and deliver effective resolutions while identifying potential issues
  • Maintain accurate system data and documentation, and collaborate with external customers and agents to address questions and resolve problems
Required qualifications
  • Possess a valid adjuster license
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in equine, livestock, or farm insurance claims
  • College degree preferred
  • Detailed understanding of good faith claims handling and state-specific claim handling guidelines
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and experience with electronic claim systems
