Job Summary
Handling claims for equine-related policies, the full-time Claims Technical Specialist will ensure compliance with claim handling guidelines, gather and analyze information for accurate evaluations, and maintain system data while providing exceptional customer service, all in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with established claim handling guidelines for coverage, investigation, evaluation, and resolution of claims
- Gather and analyze information to make accurate evaluations and deliver effective resolutions while identifying potential issues
- Maintain accurate system data and documentation, and collaborate with external customers and agents to address questions and resolve problems
Required qualifications
- Possess a valid adjuster license
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in equine, livestock, or farm insurance claims
- College degree preferred
- Detailed understanding of good faith claims handling and state-specific claim handling guidelines
- Working knowledge of MS Office and experience with electronic claim systems
