Job Summary

A company is looking for a Clinical Documentation Specialist to perform health record reviews and ensure accurate provider documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough medical record reviews to identify documentation gaps and facilitate improved provider documentation
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure accurate and compliant clinical documentation
• Utilize effective queries to enhance documentation quality and support regulatory compliance

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Health Information Management, or related medical field required
• Current RN, MD, or RHIA certification required; CCDS or CDIP certification preferred
• At least two years of direct patient care in an acute care setting or three years of inpatient coding experience required
• Demonstrated clinical knowledge and understanding of disease processes required
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and technology/software required
