Job Summary
To support Pediatric Services, the full-time Florida Licensed Clinical Documentation Specialist will be responsible for obtaining quality physician documentation, educating the patient care team on documentation guidelines, and collaborating with staff to resolve discrepancies, all while working fully remote.
Key responsibilities:
- Educates the patient care team on documentation regulations and guidelines
- Communicates with healthcare providers to ensure accurate and complete clinical documentation
- Conducts follow-up case reviews and maintains a high physician response rate to documentation clarifications
Required qualifications:
- 5+ years of acute care nursing experience in relevant medical settings
- Registered Nurse (RN), Physician Assistant (PA), Medical Doctor (MD), or equivalent certification required
- Knowledge of pathophysiology, disease processes, and treatments
- Experience as a Clinical Documentation Specialist preferred
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing preferred
