Florida Licensed Clinical Laboratory Director

Job Summary

To support laboratory operations, the full-time Florida Licensed Clinical Laboratory Director will manage regulatory compliance, oversee day-to-day functions, and ensure quality assurance while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Directs regulatory compliance and maintains QA/QM activities for the laboratory
• Writes and reviews laboratory policies and manages contracts with vendors
• Leads financial management activities, including budget establishment and variance reviews

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Laboratory Science, Chemistry, Biology, or related field; Master's degree preferred
• Licensed as Clinical Laboratory Supervisor by Florida Department of Health
• Minimum of ten years of experience in laboratory medicine
• At least five years of supervisory experience with progressive responsibilities
• Experience may be substituted for education as per State Clinical Laboratory Personnel Statutes
