To support healthcare providers in enhancing clinical documentation accuracy, the full-time Florida Licensed Coding Educator will analyze medical records, provide education on documentation best practices, and serve as a subject matter expert while primarily working remotely with occasional travel to specific regions.
Key responsibilities
- Analyze medical record documentation for accuracy and educational opportunities
- Provide education to healthcare providers on the importance of accurate clinical documentation
- Collaborate with operational teams and recommend process improvements for coding goals
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of coding experience or experience with clinical documentation reviews and provider education
- Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or equivalent coding certification
- Technical/Vocational School education in Coding
- Strong background in ICD-10-CM coding
- Knowledge of healthcare operations and medical terminology
