Job Summary
A company is looking for a Principal Commercial Title Examiner to provide underwriting support and expertise related to complex commercial title insurance commitments and policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Examine chain of title for commercial/industrial properties and perform title examinations of complex title orders
- Abstract and analyze records to determine ownership and legal restrictions, ensuring completeness for examinations
- Consult and advise staff and customers on title insurability issues while developing business partnerships with clientele
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experience may be substituted
- 8+ years of directly related experience in title examination
- Extensive knowledge of real estate laws and the title insurance industry
- Ability to read and interpret legal descriptions related to title orders
- Strong leadership and customer service orientation with excellent interpersonal skills
