Florida Licensed Consumer Access Specialist

Job Summary

To support patient financial services, the part-time Florida Licensed Consumer Access Specialist will perform Medicare compliance reviews, create patient financial estimates, and coordinate with insurance companies for eligibility and pre-authorizations while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct Medicare compliance reviews and issue Advance Beneficiary Notices of Noncoverage as necessary
• Collect payments, establish payment plans, and register patients while ensuring accuracy in demographic and insurance information
• Manage communication between clinical and consumer access departments to enhance the patient experience and provide excellent customer service

Required qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred
• 1+ years of customer service experience preferred
• 1+ years of relevant healthcare experience preferred
• Familiarity with insurance benefits and medical terminology
• Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) or Certified Revenue Cycle Rep (CRCR) preferred
