Florida Licensed Consumer Access Specialist

Job Summary

To support patient financial services, the part-time Florida Licensed Consumer Access Specialist will perform Medicare compliance reviews, create accurate patient financial estimates, and coordinate with insurance companies for eligibility verification while working remotely.

Key responsibilities:

• Conduct Medicare compliance reviews and issue Advance Beneficiary Notices of Noncoverage as needed
• Collect payments, establish payment plans, and ensure accurate patient registration and demographic information
• Manage communication between clinical, ancillary, and consumer access departments to enhance the patient experience

Required qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent (Associate degree preferred)
• 1+ years of customer service experience (healthcare and revenue cycle experience preferred)
• Understanding of HIPAA privacy rules and ability to handle confidential patient information
• Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance benefits
• Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) or Certified Revenue Cycle Rep (CRCR) preferred
