Florida Licensed DE Underwriter

Job Summary

Collaborating with the origination team, the remote Wholesale DE Underwriter will evaluate mortgage loan applications, analyze borrower financials, and provide thorough loan decisions while ensuring compliance with regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate mortgage loan applications for compliance with company policies and regulations
• Analyze borrower financials, credit reports, and property appraisals to determine eligibility
• Collaborate with processors and loan officers to resolve questions and expedite the underwriting process

Required qualifications

• Active DE license is required; VA license is a plus
• Minimum of 5 years of recent wholesale residential mortgage underwriting experience
• Strong understanding of FHA, VA, Conventional, Non-QM, Renovation, Construction to Perm, and Jumbo products
• Experience with Encompass is strongly preferred
• Must have underwritten frontline new purchase loans within the past 3 years
