Florida Licensed Financial Counselor

Job Summary

To support a growing revenue cycle team, the full-time Florida Licensed Financial Counselor will manage patient interactions regarding self-pay accounts, analyze financial responsibilities, and establish payment arrangements while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to a high volume of incoming patient calls related to billing inquiries and payment concerns
• Initiate outbound collection calls and monitor assigned accounts to ensure timely follow-up and resolution
• Analyze self-pay balances and establish payment arrangements, processing patient payments accurately

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Minimum of 5 years of prior medical billing experience or equivalent required
• Working knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding required
• Demonstrated understanding of Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) and reimbursement practices
