Job Summary
To support essential community services, the part-time Florida Licensed Helpline Counselor will provide crisis intervention, safety assessments, and community service referrals remotely during overnight hours, with a flexible schedule of 16-29 hours per week.
Key responsibilities:
- Perform crisis and suicide intervention services while providing supportive listening to callers
- Conduct basic needs and safety assessments to connect individuals with appropriate resources
- Utilize technology to document interactions and manage communication via phone and virtual chat
Required qualifications:
- Must be a Florida resident with a secure and confidential workspace
- Associate's degree with two years of experience in crisis intervention, or a bachelor's degree with one year of relevant experience
- Ability to pass a level two DCF background screening and drug test
- Minimum typing speed of 30 WPM
- Availability for 16-29 overnight hours per week with a consistent schedule
