Florida Licensed Helpline Counselor

Job Summary

To support essential community services, the full-time Florida Licensed Helpline Counselor will provide crisis intervention, safety assessments, and community service referrals while working remotely on weekends from 9am to 9pm.

Key responsibilities

• Perform crisis and suicide intervention services over phone and virtual chat
• Conduct basic needs and safety assessments for callers in crisis
• Provide information and referrals to community services while offering supportive listening

Required qualifications

• Must be a Florida resident with a secure and quiet workspace
• Associate's degree plus two years of experience in crisis intervention, or a bachelor's degree with one year of relevant experience
• Ability to pass a level two DCF background check and drug test
• Minimum typing speed of 30 WPM
• Commitment to full shifts on Saturdays and Sundays as part of the regular schedule
