Florida Licensed Helpline Counselor

Job Summary

Seeking a compassionate Florida Licensed Helpline Counselor, the full-time remote position will manage crisis intervention services, perform safety assessments, and provide community service referrals during a 40-hour workweek that includes overnight shifts on weekends and one weekday of the candidate's choice.

Key responsibilities

• Provide crisis and suicide intervention services via phone and virtual chat
• Conduct basic needs and safety assessments for callers in distress
• Offer information and referrals to community services based on caller needs

Required qualifications

• Must be a Florida resident with a secure and confidential workspace
• Associate's degree plus two years of experience in suicide/crisis intervention or a bachelor's degree with one year of relevant experience
• Ability to pass a level two DCF background check and drug test
• Typing speed of at least 30 WPM
• Availability for nine weeks of daytime training starting in September 2026
