Job Summary

A company is looking for a Hospital Coding Specialist III.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform review and analysis of clinical documentation, assigning diagnosis and procedure codes using ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 classification systems
• Ensure accurate coding and compliance with regulations, including proper sequencing of codes and documentation queries
• Collaborate with healthcare team members and maintain productivity and accuracy standards

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree, or completion of a coding certificate program
• Computer literacy and knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
• Demonstrated knowledge of coding complex outpatient surgical procedures
• Must maintain certification as CCS, CCA, CPC, or COC, renewed every two years
• Minimum of 2 years of previous hospital coding experience required
