Job Summary

A company is looking for a Coder Inpatient.

Key Responsibilities

• Abstract, code, and sequence clinical information from various medical records
• Assign correct principal and secondary diagnoses and procedure codes with accurate sequencing
• Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and ensure a quality rating of 95% in coding accuracy

Required Qualifications and Education

• Minimum of 3 years of recent experience in a trauma level 1 academic acute care setting
• Successful completion of an AAPC or AHIMA-approved Coding Certificate Program
• Experience coding medical and surgical cases across various acute care specialties
• Proficiency with Epic and 3M software
• Certification such as CPC, COC, CIC, RHIA, RHIT, CCS, and/or CCS-P is required
