Job Summary

To support a growing healthcare team, the remote Florida Licensed Inpatient Coder will assess hospital documentation to accurately code diagnoses, procedures, and charges, ensuring compliance with coding guidelines and payer requirements.

Key responsibilities:

• Comprehend medical record documentation to assign codes for concurrent and discharged accounts across multiple specialties
• Maintain production and quality standards while analyzing high-risk encounters for accurate charge capture
• Facilitate modifications to clinical documentation through query interaction to support the level of service rendered

Required qualifications:

• Minimum education of an Associate's degree
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology, Anatomy, and Physiology
• Certification in one of the following: CPC, CCS, RHIT, RHIA, or COC
