Florida Licensed Lead Accountant

Job Summary

Seeking a highly skilled Florida Licensed Lead Accountant, this full-time hybrid position will oversee critical accounting functions, coordinate monthly close activities, support audits and regulatory reporting, and manage treasury processes while collaborating with internal leaders and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate monthly close activities to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
• Prepare and oversee schedules related to audits, Medicare Cost Reports, and other regulatory reporting requirements
• Perform advanced accounting analysis on complex topics including revenue recognition and fund accounting

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related business field; CPA designation strongly preferred
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in healthcare or nonprofit environments
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and account reconciliations
• Experience with audits, tax reporting, and multi-entity accounting structures
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and ERP systems; Microsoft Dynamics GP experience is a plus
