Job Summary
To support the Florida Staff Counsel team, a Florida Licensed Litigation Paralegal with at least three years of civil litigation experience will assist attorneys in drafting legal documents, answering interrogatories, and preparing for trials in a remote, one-year limited term position.
Key responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in answering interrogatories and preparing legal documents such as motions and briefs
- Obtain, review, and summarize medical records, coordinating with experts as needed
- Prepare documents and evidence for trials and assist in interviewing witnesses
Required qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's Degree or three years of paralegal experience preferred
- Paralegal certificate or degree in paralegal studies, or completion of at least one year of law school
- At least one year of experience working in a civil litigation law firm is preferred
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree and paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program
