Job Summary
To support the Florida Staff Counsel team, a Florida Licensed Litigation Paralegal with at least three years of civil litigation experience will assist attorneys in drafting legal documents, preparing motions, and conducting client interviews in a remote, one-year limited term position.
Key responsibilities
- Assists attorneys in answering interrogatories and preparing legal documents, including motions and briefs
- Obtains and summarizes medical records, coordinating with experts and arranging medical examinations as needed
- Prepares documents and evidence for trial and assists in interviewing witnesses
Required qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's Degree or Paralegal certificate preferred
- At least three years of experience in Florida civil litigation
- Experience working in a civil litigation law firm is preferred
- Completion of at least one year of law school is desirable
- Paralegal certificate from an American Bar Association (ABA) approved program is preferred
