Florida Licensed Medical Billing Specialist

Job Summary

To support the revenue cycle team, the full-time Florida Licensed Medical Billing Specialist will manage billing inquiries, process insurance claims, and resolve patient accounts while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Provide support to patients and providers on billing-related inquiries and account resolutions
• Process and post payments to accounts on the same day and meet timelines for reprocessing claims
• Conduct meetings with patients regarding payment collections and assist with hardship applications and payment plans

Required qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of insurance carrier billing, CPT codes, and modifiers
• Experience with claim adjudication and understanding of carrier rules
• Familiarity with HIPAA guidelines to protect patient information
• Proven ability to meet or exceed monthly performance goals
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients and insurance carriers
