Florida Licensed Mortgage Closer

Job Summary

To support the mortgage closing process, the full-time Florida Licensed Mortgage Closer will prepare and discuss Closing Disclosures for various mortgage loans while working remotely and ensuring compliance with regulatory laws and credit union policies.

Key responsibilities

• Prepares and verifies all mortgage closing documents, ensuring accuracy in data entry and compliance with closing conditions
• Leads daily team production and assists with error corrections and escalation issues as needed
• Maintains professional rapport with mortgage applicants, providing timely responses to inquiries and conducting closings

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 5 or more years of mortgage processing and/or closing experience, with a preference for at least two years of Fannie Mae experience
• Strong understanding of regulatory compliance related to mortgage loans
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Good verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with members and stakeholders
