Job Summary

A company is looking for a Mortgage Underwriter to join its team.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate mortgage loan applications for compliance with policies and regulations
• Analyze borrower financials, credit reports, and property appraisals to determine eligibility
• Collaborate with processors and loan officers to resolve questions and expedite processes

Required Qualifications

• Active DE and VA underwriting certification highly preferred
• Must have underwritten frontline new purchase loans within the last 6 months
• Minimum 5 years of residential mortgage underwriting experience
• Strong understanding of FHA, VA, Conventional, Non-QM, and Jumbo products
• Experience with Encompass strongly preferred
