Job Summary

Detail-oriented and forward-thinking, the remote Florida Licensed Mortgage Underwriter will conduct credit analysis, evaluate risk, and ensure loan structures align with company standards while supporting business growth through sound risk management.

Key responsibilities:

• Conduct in-depth credit analysis and make independent loan decisions based on borrower creditworthiness
• Review loan requests for policy exceptions and perform risk assessments throughout the loan cycle
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to resolve complex underwriting scenarios and prepare credit memos for approval

Required qualifications:

• Minimum 3-5 years of mortgage underwriting or credit analysis experience in private lending
• Strong risk assessment and cash flow modeling skills for investment properties
• Thorough understanding of mortgage loan structures and secondary market expectations
• Proven track record with complex borrower profiles and structured loan products
• Familiarity with risk management frameworks and underwriting systems
