Job Summary

Detail-oriented and forward-thinking, the full-time remote Florida Licensed Mortgage Underwriter will oversee credit analysis, evaluate risk, and ensure loans align with company standards while making independent decisions on complex borrower scenarios.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth credit analysis and evaluate borrower repayment capacity and creditworthiness
• Review loan requests for policy exceptions and perform risk reviews throughout the loan cycle
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to resolve complex underwriting scenarios and prepare credit memos for approval

Required qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years of mortgage underwriting or credit analysis experience in private lending
• Strong risk assessment and cash flow modeling skills for investment properties
• Thorough understanding of mortgage loan structures and secondary market expectations
• Proven ability to handle complex borrower profiles and structured loan products
• Familiarity with risk management frameworks and underwriting systems
