Job Summary
To support healthcare operations, the full-time Florida Licensed Outpatient Coder will be responsible for abstracting, coding, sequencing, and interpreting clinical information from various medical records while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Abstract and code clinical data, ensuring accurate assignment of diagnoses and procedure codes
- Maintain compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as internal policies
- Track productivity and maintain a quality rating of 95% or higher
Required qualifications
- Successful completion of an AAPC or AHIMA-approved Coding Certificate Program
- Two years of post-certification coding experience
- Experience with EPIC and CAC systems
- Knowledge of coding conventions and compliance standards established by relevant healthcare organizations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively
