Florida Licensed Physician Advisor

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Physician Advisor for Centralized Utilization Review.

Key Responsibilities

• Conducts regular chart audits/reviews to assess clinical documentation and utilization accuracy
• Makes decisions on individual patient cases regarding admissions, authorizations, and continued stays
• Collaborates with medical staff to improve utilization and documentation efforts and provides education on these processes

Required Qualifications and Education

• Medical Doctor degree (Required)
• Medical Doctor License in the State of Florida (FL) or Osteopathic Physician License in Florida (FL)
• Minimum of 1 year of work experience in a clinical setting
• Prior experience in Utilization Management within a hospital or health system is preferred
• Graduate of a medical school approved by the Council on Medical Education of the American Medical Association
