Florida Licensed Physician Advisor

Job Summary

Driving quality performance in a fully remote capacity, the full-time Florida Licensed Physician Advisor will conduct case reviews, ensure compliance with clinical documentation, and collaborate with hospital staff and third-party payers to optimize healthcare resource utilization.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct case reviews to ensure compliance and appropriate utilization of healthcare services
• Act as a consultant for attending physicians regarding patient status and resource utilization
• Manage denials and facilitate communication with third-party payers to prevent service denials

Required qualifications

• MD or DO with a current, unrestricted medical license in the state of residence
• 1-3 years of Physician Advisor experience and clinical experience in a hospital-based setting
• Strong computer skills and working knowledge of EMRs
• Demonstrated ability to build rapport with medical staff and hospital leadership
• Board Certified / Eligible preferred
