Florida Licensed Prior Authorization Pharmacist
Job Summary
To support a high-volume pharmacy program, the full-time Florida Licensed Prior Authorization Pharmacist will manage clinical reviews and prior authorization coverage determinations remotely, requiring one weekend day of work each week.
Key Responsibilities
- Review prior authorization requests for accuracy and medical necessity
- Communicate approvals, denials, and incomplete requests to providers and patients
- Document determinations and manage a daily workload of approximately 40 PA cases
Required Qualifications
- Active Pharmacist license in Florida
- 2+ years of prior authorization review experience
- Experience in PBM, Managed Care, or Health Plans strongly preferred
- Bachelor's in Pharmacy required; PharmD preferred
- Ability to work CST hours and one weekend day weekly
