Florida Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
Job Summary
To support a telehealth-based behavioral health program, the Florida Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will conduct psychiatric evaluations, establish care plans, and supervise certified peer support specialists as an independent contractor in a remote role.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct initiating visits via telehealth to perform psychiatric diagnostic evaluations and establish plans of care
- Document visits in the EHR within 48 hours to ensure billing compliance and patient consent
- Provide general supervision for certified peer support specialists delivering navigation services to enrolled patients
Required qualifications
- Active, unrestricted APRN/NP licensure in Florida or other specified states
- National board certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC)
- Ability to meet any state-specific collaboration or supervision requirements
- Active NPI with eligibility to enroll in Medicare and Medicaid programs
- Experience and comfort with telehealth care for adults with serious behavioral health conditions
