Job Summary
Seeking a Florida Licensed Reading Tutor, the part-time contract position will provide virtual tutoring for K-8 students in reading and math, focusing on maintaining student engagement and delivering pre-designed lessons during weekday hours between 4 PM and 7 PM ET.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, pre-designed math and reading lessons to K-8 students
- Maintain student behavior and engagement in a virtual classroom setting
- Provide supportive corrections and practice time to enhance student learning
Required qualifications
- Experience in classroom teaching, tutoring, or online instruction, with a college degree preferred
- Ability to build rapport and create a motivating learning environment
- Access to a computer, webcam, and a reliable high-speed internet connection
- Must reside in and tutor from one of the specified states, including Florida
- Familiarity with delivering targeted support for students at or below grade level
