Florida Licensed Science Instructor

Job Summary

To support student learning in a fully remote environment, the part-time Florida Licensed Science Instructor will teach synchronous online courses, plan engaging instructional methods, and ensure compliance with educational policies while residing in Florida.

Key responsibilities:

• Teach synchronous online courses via Microsoft Teams and organize instruction to maximize student engagement
• Maintain accurate student records and ensure compliance with accreditation standards and institutional policies
• Stay current in the subject matter through professional development and connect the curriculum with related fields

Required qualifications:

• Florida teaching license or appropriate credential in the subject area
• Bachelor's degree with at least 18 units in the subject being taught; master's degree preferred
• At least three years of experience in the respective field or two years of teaching experience
• Experience with synchronous online teaching and advanced subject matter expertise preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and learning technologies such as Canvas
