Job Summary

Providing essential security services, the variable full-time Florida Licensed Security Officer will ensure the safety of patients, visitors, and hospital personnel while patrolling the facility and responding to incidents during night shifts on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday.

Key responsibilities

• Patrols hospital grounds and responds to security incidents, ensuring safety and order
• Escorts individuals as needed and assists medical staff with enforcement of legal patient holds
• Reports suspicious activities and safety violations, coordinating with law enforcement as necessary

Required qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Valid Florida driver's license with insurability under Orlando Health standards
• Must obtain a State of Florida Class D Security Officer License within 120 days of hire
• Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) Certification required within 120 days of hire
• Basic Security Officer Certification or higher through the International Association of Hospital Security and Safety required within 120 days of hire
