Job Summary
Providing essential security services, the part-time Florida Licensed Security Officer will ensure the safety of patients, visitors, and hospital personnel through patrolling, escorting, and responding to incidents, while working onsite during night shifts.
Key responsibilities
- Patrols hospital premises and responds to suspicious activities, ensuring safety and order
- Escorts individuals as requested and assists medical staff with the enforcement of legal patient holds
- Reports safety violations and manages inbound and outbound helicopter flights for patient transport
Required qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Valid Florida driver's license with insurability under Orlando Health's requirements
- Must obtain a State of Florida Class D Security Officer License within 120 days of hire
- Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) Certification required within 120 days of hire
- Basic Security Officer Certification or higher through the International Association of Hospital Security and Safety within 120 days of hire
